2017 Miss Chicago, Alexandria Strother and 2017 Miss Chicago's Outstanding Teen, Maddie Mazzella visited the Ronald McDonald House near Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital in downtown Chicago.
Maddie Mazzella, Miss Chicago's Oustanding Teen regularly serves her platform, Ronald McDonald House Charities. Maddie is the founder and leader of the Ronald McDonald House Teen Advisory Board at the RMH near Lurie Children's.
The Ronald McDonald House provides a "home-away-from-home" for families with ill children in the hospital who live too far away to travel back and forth regularly. The Ronald McDonald House serves families for little to no cost so families can stay close to their hospitalized child. Maddie built the RMH Teen Advisory Board model that serves as the active system nationwide.
